Where do Irish coffee trailer operators source supplies?

Is Food Trailers Marketplace free to use?
Yes. The platform is 100% free for both suppliers and customers. Suppliers list unlimited equipment, ingredients, packaging and parts at no cost. Operators browse and contact suppliers without registering. There are no platform fees, no commission and no transaction charges.
How does the Verified badge work on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Two tiers. Free tier: any supplier can register, confirm their email, and immediately list — listings go live the moment email is confirmed, no admin approval required. Verified tier (optional): suppliers pay €10 / month or €100 / year (~17% discount), upload their CRO or VAT certificate, and our admin team manually reviews — usually within 24 working hours. Verified suppliers get a ✓ Verified badge on every listing and their profile.
What can I sell on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Anything that keeps a coffee or food trailer running: commercial catering equipment (fryers, griddles, ovens, bain-maries), coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers), beans and ingredients, takeaway packaging and disposables, refrigeration, generators and gas, signage, parts, and finished trailers themselves. EUR pricing only.

How do I contact a supplier on Food Trailers Marketplace?

How quickly can a new supplier start listing on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Immediately. Register, click the confirmation link in the email we send, and your profile and listings are public on the marketplace from that moment. No admin approval is needed for the free tier — only the optional Verified badge requires admin review (within 24 working hours after payment).
How much does a coffee trailer or food trailer cost in Ireland?
Used coffee trailers and food trailers in Ireland typically range from €5,000 for older horsebox conversions to €25,000+ for fully fitted-out custom builds. New made-to-order trailers from Irish builders usually start around €18,000 and can exceed €40,000 for premium fit-outs. Browse current trailer listings on Food Trailers Marketplace to see live Irish-supplier prices in your area.
Do I need a licence for a food trailer in Ireland?
Yes. Food trailers in Ireland must be registered with the local Environmental Health Office of the Local Authority where the business is based, comply with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) regulations, and the operator usually needs an HACCP-aligned food-safety qualification. If you trade on public land or at events you typically also need casual trading or event-specific permits from the relevant council.
What insurance does a food trailer need?
Standard cover includes public liability (typically €6.5 million minimum for events in Ireland), product liability, employers' liability if you have staff, motor insurance covering the trailer in transit, and equipment cover. Several Irish brokers specialise in mobile-catering policies — search "mobile catering insurance Ireland" or browse the relevant suppliers on Food Trailers Marketplace.
Can suppliers from Northern Ireland list on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Yes. Food Trailers Marketplace covers all 32 counties of the island of Ireland — the 26 counties of the Republic and the 6 counties of Northern Ireland. Prices are quoted in EUR; cross-border operators handle VAT and currency conversion themselves. Suppliers can specify county and contact details for local delivery zones.
How do I delete my supplier account on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Email info@foodtrailersmarketplace.com from the account email address requesting deletion. We will permanently delete your supplier profile, all your listings, all uploaded images, and your user account within 7 working days. If you have an active Verified subscription, it is cancelled at the same time and any unused portion is refunded pro-rata.
What payment methods do suppliers on the marketplace accept?
Each supplier handles payment directly with the operator — Food Trailers Marketplace does not process transactions. Common methods used by Irish trailer suppliers include bank transfer (SEPA), card (via the supplier's own merchant), revolut, cash on collection, and finance/leasing arrangements for larger trailer purchases. Confirm payment options with the supplier before agreeing a deal.
Can I list a finished food business or trailer for sale on Food Trailers Marketplace?
Yes. Suppliers regularly list complete coffee trailers, burger trailers, pizza trailers, crepe trailers, horsebox conversions, and turnkey food businesses (with established locations, equipment, and customer base). Pick the most relevant category when posting — usually "Trailers" — and use the description to specify whether the listing includes goodwill, location rights, or stock.
Are listings open to non-Irish suppliers?
Food Trailers Marketplace is built specifically for Ireland — we ask suppliers to be Irish-registered (CRO/VAT) or to have an Irish service base. EU and UK suppliers serving the Irish market through an Irish entity, distributor, or sales rep are welcome. The platform is not designed for general international listings.
How do I report a suspicious or misleading listing?
Email info@foodtrailersmarketplace.com with the listing URL and a brief description of the issue. Our admin team reviews flagged listings within 24 working hours and can suspend the supplier account, remove individual listings, or revoke a Verified badge if confirmed. We take safety, scams, and misrepresentation seriously.
Are prices on Food Trailers Marketplace VAT-inclusive?
It depends on the individual supplier. Some Irish suppliers list VAT-inclusive prices (gross), some list ex-VAT (net) — always confirm directly with the supplier before agreeing a deal. The Verified subscription paid by suppliers to Food Trailers Marketplace is currently a flat €10/month (no VAT charged, since the platform operator is below the Irish VAT registration threshold).
