OUR MANIFESTO

Built in Ireland, for Ireland — one trade, one marketplace, no middleman.

The people who run, supply, and depend on coffee and food trailers across the country deserve a platform that's actually theirs. This is it. Baristas pulling shots from a horsebox conversion, street food vendors at festivals from Wexford to Donegal, mobile coffee operators on the morning commute — every working part of the Irish trade has a home here.

Built for one industry, not buried in a generic classifieds site.

A trailer kitchen needs an unreasonable amount of stuff to keep moving — beans and syrups, gas bottles and generators, fryers and grills, packaging, signage, replacement tyres, refrigeration, insurance, training. Most of it is sourced from Irish suppliers who do business by phone, by WhatsApp, by word-of-mouth.

For years that meant operators kept fragmented contact lists, asked the same questions in the same WhatsApp groups, and paid more than they should have because they didn't know who else supplied the part. Food Trailers Marketplace brings every one of those suppliers into one place, organised by category, searchable by keyword and county, with each business in full control of their own profile, listings, and how customers reach them.

Free for both sides. No commission, ever.

It's free for suppliers to list. It's free for operators to browse. We don't take a cut of any sale and we never see the transaction. The platform exists to put both sides in the same room — operators contact suppliers directly via WhatsApp, email or phone right from the listing.

There is one optional paid feature: the ✓ Verified badge. Suppliers who want to stand out as a reviewed, trust-marked business can subscribe (€10 per month or €100 per year, ~17% annual discount), upload their CRO or VAT certificate, and our admin team reviews within 24 working hours. Free-tier suppliers post listings the same way and reach the same audience — verification is purely additive.

All 32 counties of the island, day one.

Coverage spans the whole island — the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland and the 6 counties of Northern Ireland. Coffee trailer in Dublin, food truck in Cork, mobile bar in Galway, festival catering in Belfast, weekend brunch pop-up in Wicklow — same marketplace, same suppliers, same direct contact. Pricing is in EUR and we ask suppliers to be Irish-registered (CRO/VAT) or to have an Irish service base.

No in-platform messaging. No middleman. Ever.

There is no in-platform messaging on Food Trailers Marketplace by design. Buyers contact suppliers directly via WhatsApp, email or phone — the way the trade actually works. The platform is a directory and matching surface, not a transaction marketplace. We never see your conversation, we never hold your money, we never invoice your customer. If a deal happens, it happens between you and the supplier.

The trade-off is honesty: we make money from the optional Verified subscription, not from your transactions. That keeps our incentives aligned with yours — get more suppliers listed, get more operators browsing, keep the platform fast and useful.

Depth before breadth — then the UK.

The current focus is depth on Ireland — every category, every county, every working supplier. Northern Ireland counties are already covered; UK extension is on the medium-term roadmap. AI-engine discoverability (so when a operator asks ChatGPT or Perplexity "where can I source coffee equipment in Dublin", the answer cites suppliers from this site) is also a serious focus.

If you supply the trade or run a trailer in Ireland and you'd like to talk — about your business, about features you'd like to see, about partnerships — drop us a note. The team reads every message.
