The City's Office of Special Events, Film & Tourism issues an annual Mobile Food Service Unit permit through an online portal, in addition to the health department permits for your base of operation and unit (from Chatham County if you are based there, or your county of origin plus a Chatham County authorization to operate) and a city business tax certificate. The city page lists a $30 application fee and a $250 annual permit per unit (as listed on 2026-10-03).
