Power for food trucks and concession trailers covers generators, solar and battery systems, shore power connections, propane systems and the electrical work that ties them together. Suppliers on Food Trailers Marketplace sell equipment and services for new builds and upgrades.
Generators
Inverter generators are popular with food trucks because they run quieter and give stable power to sensitive equipment. Size the generator to the total load of the equipment that runs at the same time, with headroom for startup surges. Some events and parks limit generator noise, so ask the organizer before you book.
Solar and batteries
Battery and solar systems can run lights, refrigeration and point-of-sale equipment quietly, and reduce generator hours. Heavy cooking loads usually still need a generator, propane or shore power.
Propane systems
Most food trucks cook with propane. Tanks, regulators, lines and leak detection should be installed by a qualified installer, and many cities and counties require a fire inspection of the propane system. Check the local rules with your fire department.
States served
Power and propane suppliers on the US version can list in all 50 states and Washington, DC. Use the state filter to find suppliers near you.
